hello, yesterday I tried downloading a torrent only to find that it is stuck at getting meta-data. Then, I tried googling it to see what the problem was (because I had used this network before and it had worked fine...). I couldn't find anything other than 'get a vpn', which didn't really help me too much. Then, I started getting paranoid that Windows 10 was somehow interfering with my uTorrent client or affecting my traffic because I had just recently upgraded that computer to Windows 10. I've tried a bunch of different torrents (some from other sites), and some other clients like qBittorrent as well to no avail. I've tried disabling DHP/peer connect/peer exchange and re-enabling to no avail. I've tried turning off my firewall and placing my computer in DMZ to no avail... (btw, for some reason, even in DMZ some of the ports I test come out as closed on certain websites)... What do you guys think? I also tried two different networks... although the second network was at university so that may not be entirely reliable.
Edit: so...I tried downloading a free vpn (cyber ghost) to see if it would work... apparently that doesn't work either as a result of something blocking it (the software itself says that its probably my firewall or antivirus). But, I'm only using windows defender and firewall....
Edit2: went back to windows 7, still the same problem....noooooo!
